Knowledge and Wisdom - A Friday Article

It’s really a hard time for me to educate these innocent aspirants of professional graduates. They have a circle which was formed and shaped by their kitten school outdated soooo called masters/Gurus (these people called SIR by students due to imperialism. I am afraid of these imperialism shadows, still in the roots of Indian culture especially in education system). The soo called sirs and student never use their brain to think since we have n number of guides published by cheap marketing publishers with great designs on cover page in the markets to gain only marks in the examinations, not the brains. Our up growing people habituated to buy these books and also became dependant along with soo called masters. The sirs teach only subject in the prescribed words of text books and never go apart from that as they concerned it as illegal and integrity issue. They teach in nontraditional pattern. These kids became frizzed like a cool winter in Kashmir Lake because they never get an opportunity to think and analyze themselves. They grow up with a great negative motive that everybody on the earth has taken birth to cheat each other; this is due to privatization of education and non-reformation of Government teaching pattern in India. When I enter into class, they stare at me. They think that I came to cheat them! (As many outsourcing educational institutions already cheated them along with their school/college). They never give their ears to me. They scan me with their looks. The educational institutions speak about Global parameters and never maintain the global attitude.
Education is business here!

Time Table of a student

Morning 7 to evening 8:30 they engaged with reading and writing. A day starts with study and ends with study. I didn’t see any kind of recreation or self management of time here. Parents and teachers never give them time to think and ink or to play.
Let me scribe you a day life of a student who goes to private school: (provided by a student who study in local private English medium school)

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru told that the country’s destination was in the class room. Teachers should educate students. Education not in the sense of recitation. It is that – where our students get enlightenment of life and knowledge, where our students know the difference between knowledge and wisdom.

Many years ago Tagore made a great prayer to God:

Rabindranath Tagore
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action

Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.”
This is Tagore’s prayer! Still echoing in the streets of our villages.

The objective of education is to know the difference between knowledge and wisdom!

Readers! I will post the continuation of this writing on the same day of the next week.

My Experiences with Engineering Graduates! - A Glimpse of "Tell me about Yourself" Question - A Wednesday Article

The professional Engineer is called in a sensible language as Craftsman.
The creative application of scientific principles to develop machines or manufacturing process for the comfort of Human being is called Technology.
An engineer designs and manufactures technology for the comfort of Human being.
I have maximum interactions with engineering aspirants. I use to teach them Employability Skills. The aspirants are good when we speak about technically. It came to my attention when I interact with them psychologically that they have abundant Immaturity, wrong perception about Human relations, over confidence. ‘Mind Engineering’ things are lack in the most of them. The academies never concentrate on the inner core of mind, where as they concentrate on core subjects.
Student in a day attend on class with different issues. Most of the students have unnecessary issues in the mind. Constructional profession needs only craftsmanship. Many professors never groom the students due to lack of time. They are in hurry to complete the syllabus. They only justify the desire of engineering subjects. Nobody cares of Mind Engineering.
Parents of engineering students are innocents. They do not know what their kids do in a day in college. So we could not involve their essence in the issue of Mind Engineering.
Many of students joined Engineering Graduation without proper understanding about the professional graduation. Crazy of B.Tech only forced them in the form of parents to join the course. The students do the study with a core intention to complete the course with merit. They have a wrong perception that merit is the symbol of their craftsmanship.
I feel every time like kids when I speak with these students. It’s really very bad for our generations.
Once I was conducting interviews in a campus. It happened me to ask a question “Tell me about yourself?” to an aspirant.
“I am Bharath, doing IV/IV B.Tech in _____ College. I have got 70 percent, this indicates I am Confident and talented………….”
My heart began to beat in higher rate. It was a test for my patience. I had a feel that the aspirant interviewed me and justified himself.
One lady answered me for the same question “My husband name is Raghuram (not Mr. Raghuram). He is good and looks after me well. I am happy with him. He is hard worker. He loves me very much, and I too love him. (I didn’t ask her about her husband)…………….” (Later she told me that they got married recently)
Then I encountered her “Ummm, I too love you guys very much, because you both love each other very much, but...I didn't get you very much - who wants the job, Dear Lady?”

To be continued next week on the same day…………Jai

Enlightenment

Dear Comrade!
Do you know Him?
Who taught me the fruit of desire?
Do you know Him?
Who taught me to love you?

Look into story of my soul
To find the truth of life
I made experiences to gain wisdom
And travelled to the layers of Life

I found enlightenment
Nothing but Experience

I stood at at the edges of world
Under the shades of walls
And they covered me as a dark covers dawn
Still I tried to reach Him

I found enlightenment
Nothing but Experience

Children are playing with boats
As it rained yester year
You are with me As He made tears to share

I wept for Him
As ocean bleeds water
I colored dawn
With my colors of hope

I found enlightenment
Nothing but Experience

Dear Comrade!
Do you know Him?
Who taught me the fruit of desire?
Do you know Him?
Who taught me to love you?

Is Learning English Difficult?

Many Indian Language Teachers use to teach Grammar in the process of Teaching English for Communication purpose. I just astonished the way they teach to the aspirants! Language teaching is not an easy task since it is a personal skill.
People from the world corners found the importance of Communications in English language due to Globalization. So the demand for the language also drastically increased, but the methodology is not changed in reference with Indian English Language Teachers. The fact is that, they teach only Grammar in the course duration.
As per my knowledge:
The application or Practice of language should be given more importance rather than teaching Grammar! What after all we required to communicate with people in foreign language? We just require knowledge of verbs and the knowledge of framing sentences as per the Time sense and Mood.
I say very clearly that we can speak any language without Grammar!
Even in United Kingdom, where the language is born - many people are not familiar with Grammar of English, but they are communicating in English. Take our native languages also as examples!
Except language teachers, all the other professionals who work in Multi National Companies should learn how to communicate in English. They don't want to learn Grammar.
The professionals just require knowledge of Verbs and sentence Formation - Thats all make a sense of communication.
The methodology of English Teaching in Indian Institutes also need to be changed. The teachers should give weightage of ten percent only for constructing knowledge, and the remaining ninty percent needs to be put on application of language.
As I mentioned earlier, language is a personal skill, the teachers want to study the personality of an aspirant of language. Many people are reluctant to learn foreign language due to many personal complexities.
The language teachers are not meant to teach English but they have to turn as Mentors.
They need to study the personality of a language seeker. Then the study makes them to mentor the aspirants.
I have been teaching International English without Grammar to many students from the world's corner since 2000.
Once it happened to me to watch some people talking in English - they are the students of a local Language School. A lady from the group began to speak to me about some issues in the organization. " I have been watching him since 20007........." I wondered and felt little pity about the lady. She has taken a long pause to frame the sentence. Its obvious to use some words like since, but it is not necessary to use with 'have beeen.'
She can express the sense in this manner also " I am watching him since 2007" I dont find any wrong by expressing like this. The objective of any conversation in any foreign language is same as  - the meaning should be conveyed. The usage of appropriate sense of time itself gives a correct meaning of the situation in description. So my suggestion is that people just required knowledge of time and usage. We already adopted application process in teaching English. It gives me a tremendous result! If you too have any problem with your Language teachers, just send me an email, I hope that I could guide you!

The importance of Communication Skills

What is Communication Skill? How this Skill is more important in a human life rather than anything else? I have seen many aspirants of professional graduates have wrong perception about the Communication Skills. They say that the Communication skills are important to grab employment opportunities. But to my concern, Communication Skills are not necessary to grab an opportunity. Well, then before I support my assumption, let us discuss about the core objective of this Communication Skills.

At, first we must know the difference between Employability Skills and Communication Skills.
Job skills, adjusting with different environments, working with different mind set people, interest of working and some work ethics included are called EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS.

Expressing ourselves in formal way is called COMMUNICATION SKILL.

Obviously, the employers always look for an employee who has the skills of job, mindset like adjusting with a group of people and work ethics etc. To win an employment the aspirant required to show his/her inner skills like the above Employability skills. If the employer is convinced with the employability skills of the aspirants, they definitely take him/her in. So, to grab an employment opportunity an aspirant seriously required EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS.

Then here comes the question - What the role of Communiciation Skills in Interview?
Well, you need to express yourself infront of the Interviewer (a market place) by making them to know that you have Employability Skills. They only understand your inner skills through an Interaction - and that interaction is called Interview.

Just observe the picture of Core Skills to get an employment!
So to win a job an aspirant definitely should have the Job skills, work ethics, enthusiasm and Team Playership qualities - these are the essential skills the employer looks in every aspirant!

Later the aspirant require communications to express the qualities in him/her with interviewers.
As I mentioned earlier - communication means expressing in a formal way - an aspirant need to express the employability core qualities in him in a formal way to the hiring parties!

So the Basic requirement to possess an employment is EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS!
Therefore, an aspirant require Communications to express his/her Employability Skills!!
